Barilla enters its third year as the official pasta and sauce of the Australian Open

Pasta brand Barilla has returned as the official pasta and pasta sauce of the Australian Open, for a third consecutive year.

Italy’s number one pasta brand Barilla will return to the Australian Open for a third consecutive year to share their Italian heritage and delicious pasta with tennis fans.

Barilla has extended their role as the Official Pasta and Pasta Sauce of the Australian Open, and look forward to feeding hungry tennis fans with a range of exclusive recipes and dishes at their custom-built restaurant on Grand Slam Oval Countryside.

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Barilla for Australian Open 2020,” Tennis Australia Chief Revenue and Experiential Officer, Richard Heaselgrave said.

“Our partnership has been incredibly successful over the years, and we look forward to further enhancing the fan experience and level of choice with Barilla’s exciting restaurant offering.”

“Returning to the Australian Open in 2020 for a third time and celebrating our continuing partnership with tennis champion Roger Federer is incredibly exciting,” Managing Director of Barilla Australia Terry Ryan said.

“We can’t wait to share our authentic Italian restaurant with the amazing crowds who attend the Open. Executive Chef Andrea Tranchero has an outstanding menu of fan favourites and new pasta dishes for everyone to enjoy, and we’re delighted to be able to offer a takeaway option for the first time.”

Barilla’s 100 seat pop-up restaurant will include a state-of-the-art open kitchen, allowing fans to watch their favourite Italian dishes being prepared right before their eyes, with takeaway options also available.

Barilla will also take part in the Australian Open 2020 ‘Italian Day’ on Wednesday 22 January creating a range of surprise and delight experiences for fans.
