“The Healthy Mummy” is a euphemism for ‘How to lose baby weight’. More pressure for mums to be perfect, skinny, bounce back after having a baby quickly… Please give me one example of a ‘healthy’ headline on that mag cover. Lose weight lose weight lose weight lose weight… It’s just more societal pressure/identifying women’s insecurities and serving up unhealthy fast fixes – while fattening up the creator’s wallet.

There is a cover line that says ’21 inspirational women tell you their stories’. If you have picked up the magazine, as I have you will read the stories about women who have overcome Postnatal depression and major health issues, which can be addressed and maintained by a healthy lifestyle involving mental health and physical health.
But hey, who needs to be informed when you comment anonymously amiright?

Thanks for clarifying. I’ll be sure to hand this to my friends suffering from postnatal depression. I’m sure they will feel very ‘inspired’ to live a skinnier and healthier life.
