Beauty and the Geek’s finale on Nine aired to 478K metro viewers

The moment the winner was announced on Nine’s Beauty and the Geek finale topped entertainment on Wednesday, however, it was the Seven network that celebrated an overall network share win.

The program aired to a metro audience of 478,000 viewers, while the last 15 minutes of the show aired to a metro audience of 537,000.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 27 July, Seven News was the top program nationally across linear, with 1.475 million viewers, including 38,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 3%. The program with the most significant uplift in the top 20 programs was the finale of Neighbours on Ten with an uplift of 40%, watched by 340,000 total TV viewers, and 59,000 on BVOD.

Next in entertainment was The Chase Australia which pulled in 494,000 metro viewers, followed by Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell on ABC with a metro audience of 453,000.

The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Day 5 Night session aired to 713,000 metro viewers, while also taking the top spot in all three key advertising demos.

Meanwhile, the Evening session saw 610,000 metro viewers, followed by a Late session with 340,000 metro viewers.

Seven News was the #1 metro program on Wednesday with 904,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 871,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 was next with 788,000 metro viewers, and Nine News with 784,000 viewers.

A Current Affair brought in 635,000 metro viewers, ABC News saw 566,000 tune in, and ABC’s 7:30 News had 443,000 viewers in all five major capital cities.

As mentioned, in overall network share for Wednesday, Seven won the night with a 37.3% network share ahead of Nine’s 23.6%, Ten finished with a 27.4% share, while ABC had a 14.3% share.
