BEfest Awards 2016 shortlist revealed

The shortlist for Mumbrella’s BEfest Awards can today be revealed, following a record number of entries and the biggest line-up of marketers to join the jury team.

The annual BEfest Awards is the only awards program dedicated to recognising the best in branded entertainment in Australia and New Zealand, this year saw a 43% rise in entries, with 65 entries making it through to the shortlists.

Leading the shortlisted entries, The Monkeys notched up seven nominations across work for several clients, including Meat & Livestock Australia, Telstra, UBank, Bingle, Oak and the University of Sydney.

One Green Bean also nabbed seven nominations, two of which were shared with Ikon Communications for their work on the Commonwealth Bank’s ‘Australian of the Year’ campaign.

In other nominations, Host, which last year won two Gold awards for its Air New Zealand work, has again been shortlisted in four categories for its latest work with the airline.

Other companies which received up to three nominations each include TBWA\Sydney, Vice Australia, Medium Rare Content Agency, and joint entries by Red Engine SCC and Red Note.

This year’s BEfest jury will include big-brand marketers from Westfield, Westpac, Nestle, Volkswagen, Samsung, Sony Music, Lion, Warner Music, Tourism Australia and Medibank.

The awards will be handed out at an evening ceremony at the Chauvel Cinemas, Sydney on November 10, 2016. Tickets are now on sale.
