Ben Shepherd promoted, more staff added at Sound Alliance

Ben Shepherd, the commercial director of Sound Alliance, has been promoted to a bigger role with responsibility for the media and agency divisions.

Shepherd’s promotion coincides with a series of new appointments at the online publisher, which has moved into new premises in Surry Hills – the old offices of MySpace.

Joining Sound Alliance Media is Karen Chapple to a new role, as agency sales director. She was formerly at Komli Media, where she was national sales director. Prior to that, she was head of sales at Bigpond.

Also joining is Jason Spiller as business development manager from Street Press Australia.

Other additions include Michael Brunner as production manager from Ooh Media and James Vincini as senior account manager from Draft FCB.

Neil Ackland, Sound Alliance’s MD, said: “We are investing in our team at a time of unprecedented growth. Display revenues are up around 45% year on year and we are expanding our audience footprint with new sites joining our network all the time, with some significant announcements to follow.”
