Best of the best recognised at PRIA NSW awards
The Public Relations Institute of Australia’s NSW State Awards for Excellence were awarded this week, with 41 NSW based campaigns and teams recognised.
The announcement:
This year’s outstanding public relations and communications campaigns were revealed at the Public Relations Institute of Australia’s (PRIA) NSW State Awards for Excellence ceremony last night. Over 100 PR professionals celebrated the winners from 41 NSW based campaigns and teams in a one of Sydney’s trendiest locations, Bar100 in The Rocks – hosted by Allison Lee, Golden Target Awards (GTA), National Chair.
Submissions come from all over Australia, across sixteen categories, keeping the judges busy until end of August (for a full list of categories see here).
Allison Lee, National GTA Chair said “The winning campaigns were those that moved the needle, that made a real difference to the bottom line of the client or company, or solved a significant communications challenge. Many of the winning campaigns set a benchmark for PR internationally and were adopted by other markets.”
“Best of the best winners including Red Agency, the media department at the Australian National University, and the communications team at Carnival Cruises, showed creativity combined with excellent implementation. Their efforts, and successes, should be recognised by the entire industry.
“2014 marked a year of rigourous review with judges sticking closely to strict evaluation guidelines, whilst robustly debating the results. As a result, the State Award for Excellence winners really do represent the best of the best,” Lee concluded.
NSW entries have continued the high standard of entries received thus far, which will all now go towards the National Golden Target Awards which will be announced at the National GTA Gala Dinner on Monday, 24 Novemberin Brisbane. Well done to all entries and winners.
