Better Homes & Gardens dominates as Ready for Takeoff slides below 400,000
Qantas’ self-funded show following the ins and outs of life for the airline’s staff and passengers Ready for Takeoff only managed to draw 386,000 metro viewers at 7.30pm as Seven’s Better Homes & Gardens dominated the timeslot.
Better Homes & Gardens, which aired from 7pm to 8.30pm, was the most-watched non-news program of the evening with a metro audience of 767,000.
It out-rated Ten’s The Living Room, which aired from 7.30pm and pulled in 558,000 metro viewers.
Seven won the night with an audience share of 20.5%, ahead of Nine’s share of 15.8%. Ten claimed third place with a share of 12.3% while the ABC settled for a share of 11.4%.
In the 8.30pm timeslot, Nine’s Friday night movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone grabbed 335,000 metro viewers while Seven’s Friday night movie Notting Hill pulled in 429,000.
Ten’s The Graham Norton Show was watched by 425,000.
In the competitive news timeslot, Sevens News at 6pm had a metro audience of 915,000, sliding to 887,000 from 6.30pm while Nine News at 6pm was watched by 819,000, sliding to 798,000 from 6.30pm.
