Bieber fever gives Seven breakfast and morning wins

Ten’s Masterchef last night maintained its dominance a week after it launched, while among the morning programs Seven’s The Morning Show pushed ahead of Nine’s Today in the ratings.

Sunrise, which hit the headlines yesterday for the teenage hysteria caused by guest Justin Bieber, led in the breakfast ratings in every main metro market, with an average audience of 428,000, compared to Nine’s Today with 288,000.

The Morning Show, which followed Sunrise at 9am, also beat Today, with 328,000 tuning in, according to preliminary overnight Oztam data in the main metro markets.

It also beat Nine’s Kerri-Anne in the same time slot, with the latter attracting only 164,000 viewers during the Anzac Day public holiday.
