Mumbrella360 recap: Michael Beveridge on going from adland to radio (and what he learned from anonymous comments)
In a video recap from this year’s Mumbrella360 conference, Michael Beveridge, former adland copywriter who now hosts breakfast radio after a stint on Big Brother last year, talks about how advertising prepared him for life after reality television.
In the video, Beveridge talks about why the only people whose opinions you need to care about are those of your boss, your mum and yourself; how anonymous commenters on Campaign Brief prepared him for life after reality TV; how advertising can set you up for a job on the radio and the five things that helped him most in making the career jump.
Prior to Big Brother, Beveridge worked at Brisbane agency The Hoopla Family. He now co-presents the Michael, Hayley & Burgo show on Southern Cross Austereo’s SAFM.
