Bingo Industries names Re as brand agency of record

M&C Saatchi’s Re agency has been appointed by waste management and recycling company Bingo Industries as its brand agency of record.

Re, on of Australia’s largest specialist brand and design business, will continue the transformation of Bingo Industries from waste management business to global leader.

Bingo joins Re’s design roster, which includes the likes of Optus, Commonwealth Bank, Woolworths, Colonial First State, UNSW and Domain.

Benjamin Harrison – who returned to Australia in December to become the managing director of Re Sydney – said Re is aligned with Bingo’s waste-reducing mission.

“This is a very meaningful win for Re – we’re big believers in Bingo’s mission of. creating a waste-free Australia,” he said.

“Re is known for embedding brands into the national fabric through brand and experience design. Our goal is to help Bingo become the sustainability brand every Australian – from school kids to CEOs – will have a personal connection with.

“This month, our clients’ Commonwealth Bank and Optus were crowned Australia’s first and second strongest brands. Next year, we want to see a Bingo push NRMA out of third place and take the bronze.”

Bingo Industries will continue its growth in 2021 by opening a world-leading recycling centre at Eastern Creek in NSW.

The company’s GM of CX and marketing, Amanda Schmidhofer, said skips and tips are only part of the Bingo story.

“Bingo turns waste into things people want – that’s what the cyclical economy is all about,” she said.

“This new facility is truly the world’s biggest and best. It can take bricks, concrete, glass, plastic, metal, sand, soils and timber, and on the one Sydney site, turn them into a range of eco-products including aggregate for roads, mulch and more.”

Re Agency led the refresh of Commonwealth Bank’s iconic yellow diamond logo in late 2020.
