The Block continues winning streak as Wake In Fright tanks

Nine’s ratings juggernaut The Block has once again topped the ratings ladder, bringing in 1.511m metro viewers and helping Nine secure a winning 30.0% audience share for the night.

Nine’s 60 Minutes was second on the ratings ladder, with 1.069m viewers, followed by Nine News with 1.026m – the only shows for the evening to top the 1m viewers mark. 

The Block, 60 Minutes and Nine News Sunday were also the top three programs across the key advertising demographics of 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Seven came second for the night with a 19.8% audience share, thanks largely to Seven News (933,000), Little Big Shots (893,000) and Highway Patrol (622,000), according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

The ABC continued its weekend wins against Ten – the national broadcaster had a 15.1% audience share compared to the embattled commercial broadcaster on 7.2% – with top-rating programs including Doc Martin (882,000), The Doctor Blake Mysteries (862,000) and ABC News (815,000).

Ten’s most-watched program for the night was Ten Eyewitness News with 323,000 metro viewers. Part two of Wake in Fright had 293,000 after a premiere audience last week of 408,000.
