Boccalatte wins City of Sydney Christmas campaign

Brand and visual communications studio Boccalatte has won business from the City of Sydney. The campaign will grow over three years to create a holiday celebration in the city to rival other global cities.

Boccalatte win branding work for Sydney’s festive season

Boccalatte have picked up a high profile new piece of business from the City of Sydney. The brand and visual communications studio has won a tender which will see them work in partnership with Council, to create and execute a brand strategy for our largest city’s festive season celebrations.

The campaign, which will evolve over three years, aims to give a new look to Sydney’s Christmas brand, making the city’s holiday celebrations bigger and better than ever. The work will encompass the strategic development, including identity and an advertising and marketing campaign.

Part of the City’s brief to Boccalatte, is to help create a Christmas campaign for Sydney that will rival those of the great global cities. Founder and Creative Director, Suzanne Boccalatte, believes her studio is up for the challenge.

“This is Australia’s most globally relevant city and every aspect of ‘brand Sydney’ must continue to be on par with the highest international standards, including our Christmas identity,” says Boccalatte. “Winning this work is significant for us. The City of Sydney is looking to form a creative partnership with an agency who can work along side them to deliver strong strategic and creative thinking, so we see our selection as an endorsement of our ability to do that”.

With the tendering of the campaign to an agency, the City is seeking to reinforce their strategic and targeted approach to Sydney’s Christmas creative. Under the remit, Boccalatte will create and implement a brand positioning for Christmas, with the development of new visual standards applied across street banners, Citylights, print collateral including event programs, brochures, posters and postcards, print ads, signage, a microsite, merchandise and applications for mobile and handheld devices.

Boccalatte’s Christmas campaign for the City of Sydney will go live later this month.
