Bondi Sands announces four new activation spaces for 2022 Australian Open

Bondi Sands, the official sunscreen partner for the 2022 Australian Open, has announced four new activation spaces for this year’s event.

The announcement:

As the Summer of Tennis kicks into gear ahead of the 2022 Australian Open, Official Suncreen Partner Bondi Sands announces four new activation spaces for this year’s event, including the Bondi Sands Beach Tennis Court located in the all new Australian Open Beach House Precinct.

Bondi Sands recently announced tennis legend Lleyton Hewitt and his son Cruz Hewitt as its Summer of Tennis ambassadors. Being passionate about sun protection and keeping fellow Australians sun safe, Lleyton will be hosting a clinic for 40 VIP guests on Wednesday 19 January at the Bondi Sands Beach Tennis Court.

Set to be the ‘place to be’ at the 2022 event, the Bondi Sands Beach Tennis Court will invite fans to enjoy the sport on the sand whilst staying protected with free Sport SPF 50+ Sunscreen. Next to the main beach tennis court is an all access court, beach hut and seats for family and friends to spectate.

Two SPF sampling activations will be accessible to all event goers at the Garden Square precinct and Grand Slam Oval, in addition to a Kids Ballpark space in the Kids Zone where fans can interact with a life-like Lleyton Hewitt photo opportunity and engage in a consumer promotion for a chance to win a year’s supply of Bondi Sands and two tickets to the Australian Open Women’s final match.

With 500,000 free Bondi Sands Sport SPF 50+ Sunscreen samples being given away across the two weeks of the tournament, the brand is determined to keep all attendees sun safe for the
second consecutive year as Official Sunscreen Partner.

Roaming ambassadors providing samples and top ups on the ground will be dressed in custom Bondi Sands Sport uniforms designed by Melbourne label BOYD Studio, with local production
being a focal point for the brand who are Australian born, owned and made.

Co-Founder of globally recognised Bondi Sands, Blair James, is looking forward to seeing the Bondi Sands activations come to life on site.

“We can’t wait to unveil our activations on the ground at the upcoming Australian Open, and are excited to have partnered with an Aussie icon like Lleyton Hewitt to spread the sun safety message. We’ll be seeing Lleyton and Cruz battle it out on the beach tennis court during the event.”
