Border Security The Front Line repeat on Seven beats Nine’s Snackmasters in metro views

A repeat of Border Security: Australia’s Front Line on Seven topped entertainment on Monday, however, it was Nine that celebrated an overall network share win. 

The program aired to a metro audience of 456,000, while Seven News at 6:30 topped advertising demos, 16-39, and 25-24, while Nine News topped demos, 18-49. 

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for Monday 5 December, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.352 million viewers, including 33,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 3%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of Love Island Australia on Nine with an uplift of 725%, viewed by a total audience of 363,000, and a BVOD audience of 279,000. 

Looking back at Monday’s overnights, The Chase Australia aired to an average metro audience of 445,000, followed by Media Watch on ABC which pulled in a metro audience of 418,000. 

Hot Seat on Nine aired to an average of 371,000, while a repeat episode of Australian Story: Summer Series aired to 363,000 metro viewers. 

Meanwhile, Seven News at 6:30 won overall TV viewing on Monday night with 853,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News with 838,000 metro viewers, while Nine News had 760,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 brought in 754,000, followed by A Current Affair which pulled in 582,000 metro views, and ABC News had a metro audience of 575,000. 

As mentioned, Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 29.4% over Seven’s 26.4%, while the ABC had a share of 20.6%, and Ten had a share of 16.3%.  

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Monday was 9Gem with a share of 5.2%
