Bran Nue Dae screened at apology anniversary
The Albury-Wodonga Indigenous community commemorated the second anniversary of Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s apology to the stolen generations with a screening of Rachel Perkins’ hit musical.
“The movie celebrates Aboriginal culture and is based on a true story,” said Joanne Taylor, a home counsellor at the community’s Aboriginal Health Service.
The Border Mail reports that the screening was a joint effort between this organisation and the Mungabareena Aboriginal Association in Wodonga, and it attracted 350 people in the NSW/Victoria border area.

with all other ethnic groups in a celebration of Australia that will enhance the meaning of australia day celebrations for all of us.
