JuniorCru most awarded but GPY&R named Best in Show at BADC awards

BADC logoThree agencies dominated the Brisbane Advertising and Design Club (BADC) Awards, with GPY&R Brisbane taking out the Best in Show award.

GPY&R and Publicis Mojo each took home a haul of 14 gongs, including two golds each, while JuniorCru snagged 16 awards, including two golds, six silvers and six bronze.

JuniorCru MD Russ Vine said the haul was “proof the merger of the two separate agencies has been a success”.

He said: “BADC is hotly contested by every major agency in Brisbane and we topped the medal table with no fewer than 16 awards in total. It was a fantastic result and feels like just reward for the hard yards we have put in to make the Junior and Cru merge a success.

“In particular it was good to pick up in categories like Branded Content, Integrated Media, Best Use of Social Media and Most Innovative Digital. Like any agency, we’re keen to break down silos and help clients move to campaigns where digital content is more seamlessly integrated but when you put an established and pure digital agency like Cru together with something like Junior, there are no guarantees it will work.

“On the strength of this year’s BADC awards however, it seems that the quality and integrity of work is just getting better and better.”

GPY&R Brisbane grabbed four bronze and one silver, with six finalists while Publicis Mojo had one bronze and six silver with five finalists.
