Bupa creative pitch down to a shortlist
Private health care provider Bupa is down to a shortlist of agencies as it reviews its creative account, with incumbent Clemenger BBDO Melbourne declining to repitch the business.
Mumbrella understands the agencies on the shortlist include Big Red, Publicis Mojo and Ogilvy, with the successful agency is expected to be announced in mid-April.
All agencies contacted declined to comment.
Clemenger has held the account since June 2009, when it was appointed alongside fellow Omnicom agency OMD, which currently handle’s the brands media buying.
Independent agency The Hallway manages the Bupa brand’s aged care offering.
Big Red is best known for its work with Coles, while Publicis Mojo has worked with Qantas on its Loyalty program and has recently repositioned Oporto and Ogilvy currently holds the Myer account, but is waiting to see if it retains it in a shootout with Clemenger BBDO Melbourne.
Clemenger were behind Bupa’s ongoing “Find a healthier you” campaign.

It seems like there are so many cases of agencies refusing to pitch these days. Good on those who have the respect for themselves to do so…

In a category awash with cliches, I’m not sure how a new Agency is going to top ‘Find a Healthier You’.
Good on Clems for not pitching

‘Find a healthier you’ was bland and forgettable. Hopefully the new agency can do something more memorable.
It’s been a long time since the highs of “my head went this way” and “fwee for fwee”…
