BWM wins SsangYong car account
Ad agency BWM has won the business of Korean car company SsangYong Motor Company, Mumbrella can reveal.
The win comes six months after the agency’s founders Rob Belgiovane, Paul Williams and Jamie Mackay bought back the company from Enero.
SsangYong was acquired by Indian company Mahindra & Mahindra about two years ago, a move which has signalled a push into other markets.
BWM has also recently won the Bank of Queensland account.
Paul Williams, CEO of BWM, said in a statement: “Ssangyong vehicles are one of the best priced cars in Australia. The quality for the price tag is unbelievable. We’re excited to be pairing with a great automotive brand. Our team is working on a plethora of creative ideas and is looking forward to getting Australians talking about this brand.
“This follows a string of wins for BWM over the past year and our momentum seems only to be building. We have the right teams, the right skills and are looking forward to putting forward great work in 2013.”
Last month Williams and Belgiovane talked to Mumbrella’s Tim Burrowes about the agency’s new direction:
Well done gents! Does this mean you’re giving up the mustang Jamie?
