Cancer Council starts to go viral with ‘It’s a Beautiful Day for Cancer’

The Cancer Council of New South Wales has worked with Naked to produce this spoof rap video which has already generated around nearly 20,000 views on YouTube:

“We felt it was important to engage with young people about skin cancer in an effective way.  Skin cancer is on the increase and young people are particularly at risk,” saidProfessor Jeannette Ward, director of health strategies for Cancer Council NSW.

 She adds: “The song’s satire seems to be resonating with youth across the country and has stirred quite a bit of debate and discussion both online and off, which is our major objective.  We want to keep skin cancer top of mind with young people this Summer.”
