Candid Communications signs four more clients

Young Academics, Iftar Lebanese, The Dalmore and Oribu are now clients of Candid Communications.

The announcement:

Independent agency, Candid Communications, welcome three new clients and one returning, to their growing roster in Q4, 2024, spanning Food & Beverage, Hospitality, and Education. A snapshot of their diverse portfolio since opening their doors in 2021, and continued proof that co-founders Olivia Meena and Jodie Moses are very much in demand for Candid’s working ethos of ‘telling it like it is’.

Starting October, Candid will drive media relations and influencer partnerships for premium Scottish whisky label, The Dalmore, as they launch their limited edition Cask Curation series. A trio of single cask single malts that celebrate the brand’s long standing partnership with some of the finest winemakers of Portugal, Grahams Port. Only 150 sets will be released worldwide as an homage to the rarity and prestige of the Cask Curation.

“Candid are so adept at market cut-through, especially when it comes to quality spirits. Based on this history and being able to craft such a formidable client connection from the beginning, enlisting their industry knowledge and guidance to support the launch of The Dalmore’s Cask Curation series was a very smooth and easy decision.” Explains The Dalmore brand manager, Jordan Yang-Eaves.

Oribu, the contemporary Japanese restaurant situated in the heart of Church Street, Parramatta, within the esteemed Heritage Lounge precinct, is calling on Candid to lead their communications strategy. Harry Cho (ex Nobu) was previously at the helm, however, three new locally renowned chefs have been appointed to execute a vibrant spring/summer menu. Jay Lee, Jaybert Teves, and Bryan Paul Nery have stepped into the sophisticated kitchen this October to evolve Oribu’s tasting menus and à la carte offering.

From within the Candid stable, ESCA Group (home to the likes of AALIA, Nour, Itō, Henrietta et al) continue to lean on the team’s media expertise for the impending launch of Sydney CBD’s latest rooftop bar: JŌJI. Sitting atop the Cartier flagship at 388 George Street, this venue is rumoured to be the new go-to for fresh, raw dishes and Japanese yakitori, with an extensive drinks menu, and a moody vinyl soundtrack to match.

The Merrylands dining scene is set to take off, with the recent announcement of its new Eat Street tenants, ready to build on the superior dining scene of Sydney’s west. Among those is Iftar, pioneered by young-gun Jeremy Agha who has been working kitchens for many years, now ready to craft a menu of his own. Candid will be responsible for the launch strategy and all media communications rolling out in November, as well as engaging KOLs to spread word-of-mouth about the Middle Eastern venue.

A change of pace and a welcome addition to Candid’s remit, the team’s latest win is with early learning centre, Young Academics. The family-owned and run business is now a major sponsor of The Wiggles; A natural alignment for the company who champions a play-based approach to learning within their dynamic and inclusive centres.

Candid will be behind the delivery of this announcement, and work to garner relevant media opportunities for the Aussie organisation.

Recent Candid hires include senior PR & social consultant, Mimi Boydell. Her extensive experience with client relations will ensure Candid can continue to nurture their live accounts and industry connections alike.

The Dalmore, Oribu, and Young Academics join Candid’s current diverse client list: Amber Beverage Australia, Chery Australia, The Yard Gym, April Brodie Facialist, ESCA Group and H&R Block Australia.
