Pharmacy Guild wants consumers to call on chemists in new campaign

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia wants consumers to talk to their pharmacist before going to a GP in its new campaign by JWC.

The ‘Think Pharmacy First. Ask Your Pharmacist’ campaign consists initially of three videos featuring animated characters which highlight how chemists can provide basic medical advice to customers.

The characters are a continuation of the 2014 campaign also by JWC which featured animated married pharmacists Eugene and Petunia and their family business in ‘Whatchoocan-Sea’.

Greg Turnbull, communications advisor for the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, said in a release: “The campaign’s objective is to encourage these carers and other consumers to visit their local pharmacy for advice and services.

“The message is that people should think about community pharmacy first when it comes to their health needs.”

The campaign rolls out online only tomorrow and will run until October.
