Carlton Football Club comms boss Ian Coutts joins panel at Mumbrella Question Time
A fourth speaker has been confirmed for Mumbrella Question Time in Melbourne on 8 August.
Ian Coutts, general manager of communications at Carlton Football Club, joins a panel that includes adman Sean Cummins, media agency exec Mark McCraith and Darren Woolley of agency relationship firm TrinityP3.
Coutts has spent 20 years at Carlton Football Club, beginning in the marketing department as marketing services manager until taking over as general manager of communications in 1998.
He has also spent stints in the marketing department at The Age, and sister magazine company Syme Magazines, now ACP Syme Magazines.
Coutts’ role involves growing the Carlton Football Club brand, with a heavy emphasis on social media. The club has seen its Facebook fan base grow from 20,000 in 2010 to 130,000 this year. Twitter followers have grown from 2,000 to 20,000 over the same period.
Ticket sales will be limited to 120. Tickets are priced at $99 and are now on sale via this link.
The last Melbourne Question time began with a question on whether digital media is truly accountable.
