Cartoon Network appoints We Are Social and unveils Bacon Pancake Doughnuts

The Cartoon Network has launched a Bacon Pancake doughnut to promote its Adventure Time program, in its first campaign since We Are Social was appointed to the network’s social account.

As part of the campaign, Doughnut Time has created Bacon Pancake Doughnuts which are available across Australia. The doughnuts, which draw inspiration from Adventure Time’s popular Bacon Pancake episode, will be available at Doughnut Time on March 9 and are made up of a maple syrup glaze in Adventure Time character Jake’s yellow colour, crispy bacon, caramelised pancakes and garnished sprinkles.

The doughnuts will be available in Australia wide on March 9

The doughnut is inspired by the Bacon Pancake song, which went viral across social media and made the episode Adventure Time’s highest-rated for its fourth series.

We Are Social’s first work for Cartoon Network will also include an Adventure Time Snapchat Filter and a Facebook Live Q&A hosted by social media “influencer” Louna Maroun to support Adventure Time Live, an interactive, live audio visual event in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane which features the voice actors from the television show.

Suzie Shaw, managing director at We Are Social said the agency was looking forward to more “innovative projects” with their new client.

“As a mum, I know that this element of the campaign brings together two things kids love: Adventure Time and Doughnut Time. And as a company, we’re looking forward to working with Cartoon Network, which is home to great brands and content. Every brief they have is a whole lot of fun,” Shaw said.
