Casefile back on top of podcast ranker for December

Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime has again emerged on top of Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for December, beating out LiSTNR’s Hamish & Andy for the first time since May.

Casefile accrued 583,000 monthly listeners over two new episodes, while Hamish & Andy dropped down to third place, bringing in 531,923 on its lone December episode, before the show adjourned for its annual summer break.

Mamamia Out Loud stepped up two spots into third position, with 541,414 monthly listeners across 27 episodes, while Shameless fell one spot to fourth place, with 481,000 monthly listeners over eight episodes.

The top five was rounded out by iHearts’ The Imperfects, which saw 423,00 monthly listeners tune into four new episodes.

Elsewhere in the chart, iHeart’s Stuff You Should Know jumped five places to finish at #8, with 297,570 monthly listeners over 19 episodes. iHeart’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show fell drastically thanks to the host’s summer radio break, dropping 12 places to 18th position, with 206,753 monthly listeners over is 18 episodes.

ARN’s iHeart was top publisher in December, with 4.044 million monthly listeners and 14.464 monthly downloads, significantly ahead of SCA’s LiSTNR, which took second place with 2.653 million monthly listeners and 7.54 million downloads.

In its second month in participating in the Triton Digital Podcast Ranker, the ABC was the third ranking publisher with a monthly listenership of 2.092 million and 21.114 million monthly downloads.

Overall, SCA had the top sales team, representing LiSTNR, as well as Schwartz Media, SiriusXM, audiochuck, Wondery, DM Podcasts and NBCUniversal News Group, reaching a collective 6.081 million monthly listeners and 20.491 million monthly downloads.
