change.org logoPetition site, Change.org has released an embeddable addition to its site to encourage journalists to embed online petitions into their stories.
The announcement:
Journalists can now embed online petitions into their stories in a new feature introduced by the world’s biggest petition platform Change.org, which now has 3.9 million Australian users.
Globally, half a million stories have been published globally about people using the site to empower themselves by creating the change they want to see. One petition wins a victory every 24 hours in Australia. Globally, one wins every hour.
Karen Skinner, Head of Change.org Australia, said: “Often, after viewing a story that moves them, readers want to do something to help, to express their sense of injustice or to feel part of a solution. They’ll share the story, but are left wanting to do more. An embedded petition brings audiences much closer to change, and helps tell a different story of how the public is reacting to a big breaking story.”
