Channel 5 hits 30 staff members with new appointment

Channel 5 have appointed a senior accounts manager, bringing their total number of staff members up to 30.

The announcement:

Shopper Marketing leader, Channel 5, has hired again with the appointment of Julie Stenton as Senior Account Manager. This latest hire brings the agency to 30 staff, which is twice the size of 12 months ago.

Stenton joins the team on the back of 3 years working with boutique agency, Bamboo Marketing, where she led the Nestlé Blend 43 account.

At Bamboo, Stenton launched the Nestlé Blend 43 Cup of Rewards loyalty program. This rollout included an integrated marketing campaign, as well as the coordination of all reward partners and monthly online promotions. The program now has over 230,000 members in Australia, targeting a trending increase in both sales and share of basket.

Michael Cromer, MD, Channel 5 says her exceptional understanding of both the shopper and the retail environment will help the company deliver some unique shopper marketing campaigns this year.

“Julie has an excellent understanding of consumer behavior and the unique brand conversation that takes place inside Australian supermarkets,” he said. “The Channel 5 vision is built around helping its clients to look through the lens of the shopper to overcome purchase barriers, and ultimately convert more shoppers into buyers.”

Julie is also a passionate musician who has just started her second band, electro-pop outfit, Sun Comes Out Twice As Bright. They are about to launch their first single.

Julie will start with Channel 5 on the 2nd of April 2013.

With some big wins already in 2013, the rosters around the country are increasingly mentioning the Channel 5 name as brands seek out their successful approach. With involvement in some of the biggest campaigns this year, you will no doubt hear more from this fast moving creative agency.
