Cheng Lei, Steve Price feature in Sky News’ 2024 line-up

Sky News Australia has announced its 2024 programming line-up today, which features some notable names joining the network.

Regular contributor and radio host Steve Price has landed his own show which will air on Fridays at 6pm from 19 January, while news reporter Cheng Lei is also confirmed to be joining the network as a presenter and website columnist.

Cheng recently returned to Australia in October after being held in detention by Chinese authorities since August 2020, under suspicion of “illegally supply state secrets overseas”.

Meanwhile, Danica De Giorgio is set to host a brand new debate program, The Jury, filmed in front of a studio audience, with the first episode to air at 8pm on 4 February, and Tom Connell will front a new politics show during Parliamentary sitting weeks which will start on 6 February.

Regular presenters and shows confirmed to return in 2024 include Peter Stefanovic with the daily First Edition, Peta Credlin’s Credlin, The Bolt Report, Paul Murray Live and Piers Morgan Uncensored.

“At a time of significant local and international news events, our line-up of award-winning journalists and opinion leaders will deliver audiences quality journalism and informed and diverse views on the issues they care about across our growing multiplatform news network,” Sky News Australia CEO, Paul Whittaker, said.

“With the imminent launch of the SkyNews.com.au streaming subscription service, 2024 is set to be an exciting year in the evolution of our digital journey, while across broadcast platforms we will continue to bring Australians a premium viewing experience.”

The Sky News streaming service official launch date is yet to be announced.
