Chloe Morello releases podcast celebrating YouTube’s beauty golden age
Australian beauty pioneer Chloe Morello has launched Spill the Gloss, a weekly podcast revisiting YouTube’s beauty boom and unpacking 2025’s influencer culture.
The announcement:
Chloe Morello, the winged-liner OG who grew an international following from her bedroom in Batemans Bay, today launches Spill the Gloss — a new weekly podcast that reunites beauty pioneers, surfaces untold behind-the-scenes stories, and translates influencer culture into the beauty rules everyone needs to know now.
Before TikTok hacks and Instagram Reels, there was YouTube – a space where beauty tutorials, haul videos, and GRWMs didn’t just go viral, they built empires, defined brands, and gave a generation of women their first taste of digital community.
Now, one of Australia’s original beauty pioneers is bringing it all back. Launching 16 October, Spill the Gloss marks the next chapter for the internet star who built a global following of millions. This time, Morello is trading eyeshadow palettes for podcast mics and is inviting the creators, founders, and digital icons who shaped an era to join her.
The timing couldn’t be sharper. As long-form content makes a comeback and audiences crave more unfiltered, meaningful storytelling, podcasts have emerged as the space where nostalgia meets new media. With Spill the Gloss, Morello delivers a witty, self-aware, and wildly entertaining look back at the moments that made the millennial internet unforgettable.
“Podcasts give us something beauty YouTube never could – the space to go deep,” said Chloe Morello. “I’ve wanted to revisit this wild, chaotic, and hilarious chapter of the internet for years, and podcasting is the perfect medium. This show is for everyone who lived it – and for anyone who wishes they had.”
Megan Pustetto, co-founder of the Kind Regards Network, said:
“Culturally, we’re in the middle of a nostalgia wave and beauty YouTube is a chapter that hasn’t yet been explored with the depth and insight it deserves. Chloe isn’t just a commentator; she was one of the women who built that world. To have her revisit it, in conversation with the people who defined it, feels like opening a vault of internet history – with all the chaos, comedy, and community that came with it.”
Nicole Corfe, general manager of the Kind Regards Network, added:
“Chloe’s audience has grown up with her, and they’re now looking for content that connects memory with meaning. Spill the Gloss sits right at the intersection of cultural relevance and commercial opportunity – nostalgic, yes, but also deeply current in the way it delivers authentic storytelling and community-driven engagement. For advertisers, this is a chance to align with one of the most trusted voices in beauty, while reaching an audience that is loyal, premium, and ready to engage.”
Produced by the Kind Regards Network and hosted on Acast, Spill the Gloss launches its trailer on 16 October, with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
