Clemenger BBDO Sydney hires Wunderman Thompson’s Brona Kilkelly as senior planner
Clemenger BBDO Sydney has hired Brona Kilkelly as senior planner.
Kilkelly most recently spent just under three years at Wunderman Thompson as creative strategist.
Prior to Wunderman Thompson, Kilkelly began her career in planning as a lead strategist at Rothco Accenture Interactive Dublin. She has also freelanced at VMLY&R.
Lilian Sor, chief strategy officer at Clemenger BBDO Sydney, said: “At Clemenger, we constantly strive to create work that makes a true impact on the world and returns dividends to the bottom line of the businesses that we work with.
“This is the type of work that can only come from a deep understanding of the people we’re looking to motivate to take action.
“We look for planners with great minds, who have great empathy and are great people too – and Brona stood apart in manner, smarts, energy, and ambition. We are over the moon that’s she’s joined our crew.”
Kilkelly said of her appointment: “I couldn’t be more excited to be joining Clemenger BBDO Sydney. The energy in the agency is palpable and I can’t wait to get involved in some of the great work that’s happening.”
Kilkelly is the latest in a string of appointments for the agency since the entry of its new CEO Pete Bosilkovski in August last year. In December the agency hired client services director Simon Starr.
In January, it was announced that Clemenger BBDO Sydney had won the creative account for INova Pharmaceuticals’ Demazin.
I still feel angry about the stupidity of getting rid of the name JWT and how silly it is to cram two names together to create a new brand. Imagine those poor staff saying they work at Wunderman Thompson. Just pick one.
Congratulations to this person on the role.
