Clemenger BBDO talent takes on APAC creative director role for global creative network
Clemenger BBDO’s art director, Casey Henderson, has been nabbed by global creative network OK COOL for a senior position.
Taking on the role of creative director for its new APAC studio, Henderson will work closely with OK COOL’s senior leadership team across the region, including managing director Ellen Fox, as well as co-founders Jolyon Varley and Liz Stone.
He joins from Clemenger BBDO Australia, where he spent nearly seven years.
Having joined in 2017 as social media manager, Henderson moved into the art director position within a year. He led the creative direction of cross-category omnichannel brand, retail and behaviour change campaigns for the agency’s key Melbourne clients.

“Casey’s passion for subcultures and fresh zillennial point of view, coupled with his proven track record of success, make him the perfect fit to lead our APAC studio,” Varley said.
“He already has played a pivotal role in driving culturally insightful creative for our beloved client partners META and TikTok Shop over in the US and UK, whilst also driving growth, and defining an industry-leading creative product within our new studio here in APAC.”
In 2021, Henderson won Silver at the Young Cannes Lions Australia, and in 2022, was a finalist in Young Spikes Asia.
“I am pumped to join OK COOL and lead the charge in establishing our APAC presence,” he said of his appointment.
“I am excited to collaborate with our talented team to push the APAC region to move towards producing content that meaningfully contributes to the communities and broader subcultures we all try to sell things to day in and day out.”
Since launching at the start of the year, OK COOL has had a number of business wins across the lifestyle, sportswear, and home improvement categories.
