Click Frenzy Travel to help bushfire-affected businesses with its new ‘Places in Need’ category

Click Frenzy’s upcoming Travel event will help businesses impacted by the bushfire crisis with a free placement in its specialised ‘Places in Need’ category.

The recent Australian Bushfire crisis has impacted millions of people and left hundreds of communities across the country ravaged. Whilst recent rain has largely put an end to the direct threat of fire, there are still communities that are struggling, and the recovery effort is only just beginning.

Grant Arnott, Managing Director of Click Frenzy says, “The need for communities impacted by the fires to attract visitors to support their local businesses is vital, and we want to help them achieve this.”

He continues, “Our upcoming Click Frenzy Travel event on March 17th is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of Australian travel intenders over a net-busting 53-hour period. In response to the recent fire crisis, we have introduced a new initiative that will hopefully give these locations and travel providers a much-needed boost and visibility.”

This year’s event will have a new shopping category called ‘Places in Need’, which will allow shoppers to find deals from businesses impacted by the bushfires. As a part of this, they’re also offering businesses impacted by the crisis a free placement within the ‘Places in Need’ category, presenting an opportunity for these businesses to reach a new audience of travellers when they need it most.

Grant Arnott adds, “For our last Travel event, the average clicks to participating brands was over 6,700 and 69% of shoppers were in the process of planning their next domestic holiday. Considering this exposure and potential return, we’d love to have as many providers on board as possible and shine a spotlight on the beautiful destinations that we have in our own backyard.”

Click Frenzy is Australia’s first and most recognised national online mega-sale event, bringing together online retail brands and their exclusive offers on a centralised shopping platform four times a year. During these sales, shoppers can browse through thousands of deals, shortlist their favourites and once their ready to make a purchase, they will be linked through to the relevant retailer to complete the purchase. They can search by category, brand, product name, item or just browse the unbelievable range of deals on offer.

This year’s upcoming travel event, held from 7pm, March 17th to midnight, March 19th, will provide amazing deals on key travel categories including destinations, accommodation, exotic tours, airfares, cruises, packages, travel essentials, private villas in tropical locations, and tonnes more.

To be eligible for ‘Places in Need’, you must be a small tourism related business, for example hotels, restaurants, tour & experience operators, in locations impacted by the recent Australian bushfire crisis.
