Cocogun’s Ant Melder co-pens anti-Melbourne Cup song, ‘F*ck The Cup’

In the lead up to the Melbourne Cup, Australian-African rapper Chandler Jewels has released a song protesting the annual event, with lyrics co-written by Ant Melder, creative partner and co-founder at creative agency Cocogun.

‘F*ck The Cup’ criticises the Melbourne Cup’s ongoing perpetuation of gambling and animal welfare issues, including horse deaths, tongue ties, whipping and more.

“I embraced the chance to create a protest song about animal cruelty, especially the heartbreaking fate of horses after the Melbourne Cup,” Jewels said.
