Colenso BBDO, Baz Luhrmann and Global Citizens boss Hugh Evans honoured at Clio Awards
Colenso BBDO was the only Australasian agency to win a major trophy at today’s Clio advertising awards in New York.
The Auckland agency – currently Mumbrella’s creative agency of the year – was recognised with the Grand Clio trophy in the outdoor category for its Brewtroleum project for Heineken’s DB Export.
Thanks in part to the recognition for Colenso’s work, BBDO also won the title of Global Network of the Year.
Meanwhile, two Australians were also recognised at the ceremony, winning Honorary Clio Awards. Film director Baz Luhrmann won for his contributions to film, television, music and advertising.
And Australian anti-poverty advocate Hugh Evans, CEO of campaigning group Global Citizen, was also recognised.
Microsoft was named Advertiser of the Year, and Leo Burnett Chicago was Agency of the Year.
