Coles rewrites ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’ in ad featuring Curtis Stone cameo

Coles has released its 2018 Christmas campaign which features staff and customers singing Coles’ version of ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’.

Coles’ celebrity chef brand ambassador Curtis Stone also makes a cameo in the ad as he pulls a Christmas cracker and sits at the table to eat Christmas lunch.

The Christmas campaign includes families bringing presents, cooking a Christmas lunch and staff wishing customers a merry Christmas.

The ad, created by creative agency Big Red, is part of the supermarket giant’s new ‘Good things’ brand platform, which launched in March.

Its new platform which moved away from its Status Quo-soundtracked ‘Down Down’ ads to the new positioning of ‘Good things are happening at Coles’.

The Christmas ad launched following Coles Local appointing PR agency Keep Left to its creative and content account.

Meanwhile, in November Dieter Lehmann joins Coles as head of corporate communications.
