Come Dine With Me Australia returns to Lifestyle
The LifeStyle Channel has revealed the air date of the second series of Come Dine With Me Australia. The Granada Media production will return next month.

Loosen your belt, fix yourself a cocktail and settle down for a second serving of the reality show with bite, COME DINE WITH ME AUSTRALIA. This brand new local production of the hot international format will screen over four weeks from Monday August 23 at 8.30pm on The LifeStyle Channel.
COME DINE WITH ME AUSTRALIA sees everyday Australians battling it out for the title of the ultimate dinner party host. Television and radio presenter James Valentine narrates the series, overseeing each episode with witty observations and unique commentary.
“Series two shows that dinner parties could be a national sport,” said James. “Sure there are no high marks and no one hits a six, but there is naked ambition, vicious competition, shameless backstabbing, down and out cheating, and a drive to win that wouldn’t look out of place on an Olympic podium. You also get oddballs cooking bizarre stuff in strange homes. How could you miss it?”
The unscripted show follows amateur chefs competing against each other in hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. Each week over five nights, five total strangers take it in turns to cook up their idea of the perfect evening for the other four. Each believes they can cook up the perfect evening and hopes their unique style will clinch them the title of best host.
“Come Dine With Me Australia is such a winning format. It is not only exciting for foodies, it’s exciting for all Australians. It is a show that gives people recipes and takes them into everyday Aussie homes,” said Nicole Sheffield, General Manager, LifeStyle Channels. “Granada has produced a fantastic second series. There is such a diverse mix of competitors in this new series and they are really out to out-wine and out-dine each other!”
As well as cooking, there’s also a large helping of reality on the menu as the rival hosts snoop around each others’ houses and go to great lengths to win the competition. At the end of the evening, the host is judged by their guests and scored out of ten. The host with the most points at the end of the week wins the cash prize.
The 20-part half-hour series is produced by Granada Media Australia for The LifeStyle Channel.
