CommBank starts with cricket
Commonwealth Bank has continued to roll out new executions based around the Start With Us positioning.
The campaign, created by Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, began in January.
CommBank has also uploaded an “outtakes” version of the ad to its YouTube account.
I get the creative consistency with this cricket themed version and applaud the team behind it for keeping the tone fun and light-hearted whist still leveraging the talent and sponsorship assets from Cricket Australia. The only let down (and it’s a product issue – not advertising) is that when you go to the site with sign up for the ‘Cricket Pack’ and a new NETBank account you are directed to a visit a branch. An online account you can take up online?? Maybe CBA need to look at the likes of ING and other online banking leaders to get this final (and crucial) bit of the puzzle right.
