Commercial Radio & Audio appoints new CEO

Commercial Radio & Audio has appointed Lizzie Young as its new CEO.

Young was most recently CEO APAC and global growth officer of WeAre8, and prior to that, was managing director – local markets, group marketing and commercial partnerships at Nine, where she spent 12 years.

She has also spent seven years at GWR Radio/GCap (now Global Radio) in the UK, where she held various roles including commercial programming controller and head of agency sales, and four years at Austereo in various promotions, marketing and integration roles.

Young will commence her role at CRA on August 7.

The news comes after previous CEO, Ford Ennals, announced his resignation in April.

“Ford has made some great contributions during his tenure with CRA,” Davis said in a statement at the time.

“We wish him well for his future role.”

Ennals added: “I’ve had the privilege to successfully guide the CRA through a key period of transition. I extend my gratitude to the CRA team and our members. I am confident that the commercial radio and audio sector is well-positioned for future growth and success.”
