Commercial Radio Australia team up with Sony to push digital radio

Sony Big Summer DAB+Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has teamed up with Sony to encourage radio listeners to purchase a digital radio in a Christmas ad campaign.

The ad campaign promotes Sony’s offer of a free digital radio valued at $99, with the purchase of a selected Sony digital radio with Bluetooth or smartphone dock, part of  the manufacturer’s Big Summer promotion.

CRA chief executive officer, Joan Warner said in a statement: “This year’s Christmas digital radio ad campaign with Sony is one of the biggest retail promotions the industry has been involved in.”

The series of three 30 second radio ads will air across 42 commercial radio stations in the metropolitan markets of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth for four weeks.

The radio ads are supported with retail and station web banners, in-store point of sale and ticketing and digital radios featured in multiple catalogues in the lead up to Christmas.
