Common Ventures wins creative account for Spirit Super

Spirit Super has named Sydney agency Common Ventures as its creative agency of record, following a competitive pitch process.

The pitch process involved four agencies, with Common Ventures winning the account for the superannuation provider, and as a result, will now lead Spirit Super’s brand launch through all communication channels.

In addition, Common Ventures will be responsible for all the creative output for the brand, which will emerge as a result of an upcoming merger between MTAA Super and Tasplan, making it Australia’s newest Industry Super Fund.

Spirit Super will have approximately $23 billion in funds across 326,000 members.

The appointment is effective immediately, and Common Ventures co-founder and creative director, James Crawley, said the agency is continuing to build a base of clients in the financial sector.

“Common has been building capacity and expertise in the financial sector, and this win is testament to that.

“Spirit Super will occupy a unique place in the market – it is a mid-sized fund, but hasn’t lost the hard working attitude and personal commitment to members that a smaller organisation might have.

“Spirit Super is very much the best of both worlds.”

Common Ventures’ other clients include Loan Market, Taylors Wine, The AFP, The Sydney Opera House and Woolworths Group.

In 2020 it won the creative accounts for Bank Australia and Tarocash.
