Compare the Market’s ‘machine that goes bing’ brings insurance discounts

Compare the Market has a new recruit now that Aleksandr the meerkat believes it’s time to bring his heir, Oleg into the family business.

The new campaign follows Aleksandr’s tour of business’ headquarters, making his first stop at the ‘Machine that goes bing’ to highlight the six million Australians that have used Compare the Market to get better deals on their insurance.

The campaign comes from VCCP and will be running across out of home, radio, online, video and social media.

“Since coming into the Australian market nearly ten years ago, we’ve helped millions of Australians look for a better deal on the cost of running a household. Through Oleg learning the ropes of the
business, Australians will understand we can help find the right deal for them and take control of their finances,” said Compare the Market general manager of brand, Michael Goodhew.

VCCP creative director, Paul Sharp, added: “When your client has impressive stats and even more impressive machinery to share it’s always fun. Throw in a cute toddler meerkat and boom – make that bing.”

This year, Compare the Market launched membership program, Meerkat Mondays, which gives participants a chance to win $20,000 of prizes every Monday for six months.
