Corey Layton takes ARN commercial and audio partnerships role

ARN has appointed Whooshka content and marketing director Corey Layton to the newly created role of commercial product and audio partnerships director.

This appointment marks a return to ARN for Layton, who started his career on-air at ARN’s Melbourne station TT FM, which rebranded to Mix in 2001.

Layton returns to ARN’s Melbourne office after 14 years

After leaving the then-DMG in 2005, Layton has since held positions at Nova and Global in London,  and worked as response and activations director at Southern Cross Austereo before taking a role as national creative strategy director at Ensemble.

In his new role, Layton will lead ARN’s National Client Solutions Team and be responsible for driving ARN’s audio growth strategy which includes expanding ARN’s podcast offering.

ARN’s chief commercial officer Pete Whitehead said: “Corey brings to the role a wealth of experience and expertise in strategic client solution development, including the market leading podcast creation at Whooshkaa, and we are very much looking forward to him joining us to lead the talented ARN Client Solutions team.”

Of his new role, Layton said: “There’s never been a more exciting time to be in audio. Across podcasts and radio, smart speakers and streaming, I can’t wait to help brands take advantage of the rapidly growing and emerging opportunities.”

Layton will be based in ARN’s Melbourne office and will commence his role on May 20.
