Cricket Australia renews contract with Toyota for four years

Cricket Australia has renewed its contract with Toyota for the next four years.

Cricket Australia is pleased to announce Toyota has renewed its partnership with the sporting body for the next 4 years.

Toyota, which has been a partner of Cricket Australia since 2012, has committed to continuing its extensive support of the Australian Cricket pathway – from club cricket all the way up to the men’s international cricket team – until 2021.

The renewed partnership will see Toyota continue its incredibly popular Toyota Good for Cricket Raffle, which has already raised over $1.7m for local cricket clubs since its introduction in 2012. The renewal also ensures Toyota’s ongoing support of each of the state cricket associations and the KFC Big Bash League.

As part of the new deal, Toyota will take on a new Naming Rights Partnership of the Australian Country Cricket Championships. The Australian Country Cricket Championships is an annual tournament that showcases the best cricket talent from regional areas, with teams from all around Australia and from the East Asia Pacific region taking part.

Toyota’s support for Australian Cricket will also extend to providing vehicles to Northern Territory Cricket and Cricket ACT to assist cricket development officers grow cricket participation into regional areas.

Cricket Australia General Manager, Broadcasting, Digital Media & Commercial, Ben Amarfio has welcomed the renewed partnership.

“We are very proud of the partnership we have formed with Toyota over the past 5 years and we are excited that Toyota’s partnership with Cricket Australia is set to continue for at least the next 4 years.

“We are very grateful for the support Toyota provides at various levels of the Australian Cricket pathway, and we are looking forward to working with them to deliver their objectives of assisting cricket at a community level. Toyota’s support is having a very real impact with our grassroots clubs and teams.

“This renewal marks the fourth partnership renewal, to complement the eight new partners, over the last 12 months for CA and is yet another demonstration of the value cricket offers to Australian commercial partners.”

Toyota Australia’s executive director sales and marketing Tony Cramb said the Cricket Australia partnership, now extended to at least nine years, underlined Toyota’s long-term passion for sport at all levels, from the elite squads to grassroots players and officials across the country.

“Toyota is proud to sponsor one of Australia’s most popular sports and we are pleased that this renewed partnership allows us to continue to give back to the community through the Good for Cricket program,” Mr Cramb said.

“Local clubs have already raised more than $1.7 million through the Good for Cricket raffle, enabling them to upgrade facilities, buy equipment and undertake other activities to support their players,” he said.
