Cricketer Chris Gayle claims Channel 10 owes him money for Big Bash
Chris Gayle, the cricketer at the centre of last year’s “Don’t blush, baby” controversy has attacked Channel 10 on Twitter, claiming they owe him money for his time in the Big Bash League.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, Gayle claimed the money is now one year overdue and issued Ten a warning that the money needed to be in his account by next week.
I’m sure Players who used the Cam/Helmet while batting and commentators who did commentary last year BBL has been paid….

So why is it I can’t get paid like all the others? It’s been 1 year now and I need my Money asap! Not because I’m from the Caribbean. #Ten

In response to the allegations, a Channel 10 spokesperson said: “Network Ten fulfilled its contractual obligations to Chris Gayle and does not owe him any payments.”
Gayle found himself the subject of criticism in January last year when in a post-match interview after a Melbourne Renegades Big Bash game in Hobart, he said to reporter Mel McLaughlin: “I wanted to come and have an interview with you as well, that’s the reason why I’m here – just to see your eyes for the first time. It’s nice. So, hopefully we can win this game and we can have a drink after. Don’t blush, baby.”
