Cubed Communications appoints new creative director

Cubed Communications has appointed Sputnik’s Bruce Williams to the role of Creative Director.

The announcement:

After a successful 2010, CUBED Communications has hired Bruce Williams as Creative Director. Formerly Creative Director at Reality Group/Sputnik Agency, Bruce will be in charge of the creative output of the entire agency including online and offline, a role he has been very successful at for over 8 years.

He was formerly CD of Australia’s largest Direct Marketing agency, Clemenger Proximity, where he won over 25 local and international awards from 2003-2007.

He has worked with some of Australia’s most enduring brands, including The Age, ANZ, ARC, AXA, Dulux, Google, Herald and Weekly Times, Keno, Masterfoods, Mazda, Playtex, Origin Energy, RACV, Saab, Sanitarium, Sensis, Spirit of Tasmania, Tabaret and Tontine.

Most recently, he has worked on fully integrated brand campaigns, successfully launching HUMMER in 2008 and playing a major role in the winning pitch and on-going work for Spirit of Tasmania and GE Money.

This year Williams was a mentor at the MADC mentor scheme and was on the judging panel for the DM category of the MADC Awards.

Founding Partners Mike Chuter and Kim McDonnell are delighted with the inclusion of Williams to the CUBED team.

“Bruce’s credentials made him the ideal choice for CUBED. We needed a creative force that matched our strengths and could deliver across multi-channel campaigns. Bruce’s strong ideas and creative direction will provide us with the punch we need, adding a fresh new dimension to what we offer our clients.”

“We believe Bruce’s passion for producing work that works, his ability to inspire others, positive attitude and leadership qualities coupled with his diverse experience and true “results focused” thinking, will help lift CUBED to the next level of success. We’ve had a great year in 2010 with some great client wins, being listed on BRW Fast 100 and Fast Starters lists as well as a finalist for Victorian Agency of the Year…we now want to go even better”.

Williams will start at CUBED immediately replacing Dave Scott and Kate Lightfoot.
