Curash launches social mobile app for mums

Mums Playground horizontal (1)Baby skin care company Curash has launched ‘Mum’s Playground’, a socially integrated mobile application for new mums aimed at providing a source of information and a social community to support new mothers.

The location-based application, created by We Are Social, is designed to help women with the transition to motherhood, allowing users to share their own feedback across a range of activities and locations.

The app allows uers to form friendships with other users, create mothers’ groups and find locations that may be suitable for their children via the community driven baby-friendly rating system.

Working with social agency We Are Social, the brand had established a strong social media community with highly engaged Facebook fans seeking advice. We Are Social recommended extending the brand’s social communities by developing and building the social mobile application.

Managing partner at We Are Social, David Fairfull said in a statement: “We believe it is crucial that brands deliver resources and utility with social value, serving the customer’s needs as well as the brand’s objectives. Mum’s Playground delivers on both. Firstly, it delivers a service that has real meaning to Curash’s customers at a time of great change in their lives.

“Secondly, it is important that brands build a cohesive social, digital and mobile ecosystem that, where possible, includes owned channels. Many brands build an audience by relying on channels they can’t control, making them vulnerable to external changes over time. With Mum’s Playground we have mitigated that risk by creating an additional, mutually beneficial communication channel between Curash and their customers.”
