Dancing with the Stars holds up for Seven as Recipe to Riches falls again for Ten

Seven’s Dancing with the Stars stayed above 1m viewers for its third week on air although it fell slightly on its previous two outings. The show rated 1.133m metro viewers, down slightly from last week’s 1.24m viewers and its debut the week before of 1.331m.

Meanwhile, Ten’s Woolworth’s-backed Recipe to Riches dropped to its lowest ratings of the season with just 479,000 capital city viewers according to preliminary overnight numbers from OzTAM. Its lowest rating previously had been 481,000.

Nine’s first outing of Rebel Wilson’s new US sitcom, Super Fun Night, in which she plays a clumsy American lawyer, was second in its time slot with 791,000 viewers.

The show followed Big Brother which had 863,000 viewers and ranked eighth for the night. Big Brother was the top program for people 25-54 and was followed by Super Fun Night.

Ten’s US drama Sleepy Hollow and Nine’s British comedy Big School were beaten by David Attenborough’s First Life documentary series on ABC1 at 8.30pm. First Life had 588,000 total metro viewers while Big School had 574,000 and Sleepy Hollow had 471,000.

The race was close between Seven and Nine’s breakfast shows and with 365,000 viewers Seven’s Sunrise narrowly beat Today’s 351,000.

Nine’s game show Hot Seat had 574,000 viewers at 5.30pm beating Seven’s Million Dollar Minute which had 476,000.
