Established by the Australian Event Awards, the Australian Centre for Event Management and business partner and wife, Katerina Grant, the fellowship will provide financial support to young people in the events industry to expand their professional development.

The inaugural recipient in the fellowship will receive a $10,000 fund for projects that fulfil the program’s objectives. The fellowship is also open to non-Event Management graduates.

Applications open May 2017 and will close in late July. More information can be found at the Australian Event Awards’ website.

David Grant was considered one of the industry’s most-respected event organisers. He was responsible for events such as the Cointreau Balls and the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

Grant received more than 35 industry awards, and accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Australian Event Awards in 2014. Grant passed away in December 2015 at the age of 55 years.
