Campbell Arnott’s has appointed Unilever’s David McNeil as VP of its Asia Pacific marketing operations, in a new role based at the company’s Sydney headquarters.

McNeil will oversee the company’s Australian marketing operations as part of the job.

“I am delighted to join such a fabulous company in such an important region. The Campbell Arnott’s portfolio of brands is impressive to say the least and the growth opportunities are extremely exciting,” he said.

McNeil has more than 26 years of marketing experience, working for FMCG companies such as Unilever, Lion and Colgate-Palmolive. He was previously with Unilever, where he held various roles including GM of Streets Ice Cream, vice president of food and beverages and chief marketing officer.

McNeil’s appointment follows the departure of Susan Massasso to dairy company A2 Corporation in July. Many of her direct responsibilities were split between marketing manager Susanna Polycarpou, who runs the Arnott’s biscuits division, and Rebecca Carson, who handles savoury products.
