DDB Sydney hires new head of integrated content, Renata Barbosa
DDB Sydney has hired Renata Barbosa as head of integrated content, in a move to strengthen the agency’s production team.
Barbosa will be leading production for DDB Sydney, and leveraging her experience to service clients including Westpac, McDonald’s, Foxtel, Virgin Australia and Volkswagen.
Most recently, Barbosa was at Saatchi & Saatchi Australia as national head of broadcast. She previously spent over four years at Leo Burnett, holding roles including lead broadcast producer and executive producer of broadcast. Barbosa has also worked at JWT.
Barbosa said of her appointment: “With one of the largest production departments in Australia, I am thrilled to join the team at DDB Sydney. With so many exciting projects on the horizon, I’m looking forward to working with the team to keep producing ground-breaking work.”
DDB Sydney managing director, Priya Patel, said: “I knew within five minutes of meeting Renata that she was the right woman for the job. She’s experienced at dealing with blue-chip clients and managing big teams to offer fully integrated creative solutions.
“She understands how to make creative solutions a reality and we know she’s the right person to future-proof our business. Most importantly, she’s a lovely human-being – the perfect blend of talented and nice.”
In September DDB Sydney promoted ECD Tara Ford to chief creative officer, as Ben Welsh expanded his remit to be CCO of DDB Sydney and Melbourne.
