The announcement for the expansion was made at the 14th Delicious Harvey Norman Produce Awards, which saw 17 awards, 16 trophies and 30 gold medals presented across four major categories. The coveted title of Producer of the Year went to Bruce Collis from Victoria for his Seasonal Wild Caught Fish.

“The Delicious Harvey Norman Produce Awards not only influence what you may see on restaurant menus for the next year to come, but most importantly give credit to the people who care for the produce that lands on our plates. It has never been more important to get behind our farmers and small producers. They need our help,” said McCallum.

The Delicious #knowyourproducer campaign launched in May across News Corp Australia’s TV, digital, print and social network is in market until August 31, 2019. Led by a video series sharing the important stories of Australia’s best and most innovative producers, the campaign has been designed to help consumers understand where their food comes from.
